The Scania 4-series low floor city bus and coach range was introduced by Scania in 1997 as a successor to the 3-series bus range.
The L94UB is essentially the city bus version of the L-Series chassis, fitted with a 9 litre engine.
Singapore Bus Services/SBS Transit
SBS Transit operated one demonstrator unit of the L94UB.
In 1999, SBS received its second low-entry bus for evaluation. Like the Volvo B10BLE demonstrator, it received the "CR221L" bodywork by Volgren, and was also fitted with the Mobitec flip-dot Electronic Destination Signage (EDS). It was publicised as the "21st Century Bus".
It was retired in 2016 at the end of its lifespan.
