SBS9673A on Service 80

Overview

Dennis Trident 3 (marketed as 3-axle Dennis Trident) is the first low floor double-decker bus chassis built by Dennis in the United Kingdom, with a large number purchased by bus companies in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States and Canada.

Singapore Bus Services/SBS Transit

In 1998, SBS made a purchase of 20 Dennis Trident 3 buses with the "5000" body by Duple Metsec. These are the first low-floor double-decker buses to be purchased by SBS, and also the first production batch of buses to be fitted with the Electronic Destination Signage (EDS) when new. When delivered, these buses were the last to feature the new version of the Superbus livery, before being repainted to the standard SBS Transit livery soon after. Some of the buses have their original Transit Media EDS replaced with newer ones from Hanover or Shanghai CanRun Electron Tech.
