TIBS (now SMRT) had purchased and operated a total of 79 Dennis Lance buses, with 13 buses allocated for charter under Bus-Plus Services.

UMW–Dennis Specialist Vehicles

In 1998, TIBS made a purchase of 52 Dennis Lances, bodied by Duple Metsec. These buses were produced in Malaysia by UMW Corporation, which had a joint venture with Dennis Specialist Vehicles. 6 buses received the 211hp engine, while the remaining 46 buses received the 245hp engine.

All 6 211hp buses and 2 245hp buses were registered under the 'PA' prefix and allocated for charter services under Bus-Plus Services. The other 43 buses received the 'TIB' prefix and 1 with the 'CSS' prefix, and were operated as public service buses. The bus with the 'CSS' prefix operated under CSS, and was allocated to SMRT when CSS ceased operations. It was re-registered with the 'TIB' prefix, and was the last bus to be registered with such a prefix. The public service buses had 3 rows of seats removed to create a standing area, and PA639M and PA669B also received the same configuration after refurbishment.

These buses were originally delivered without Electronic Destination Signage (EDS), but later received illuminated flip-dot EDS supplied by Transit Media, with the exception of PA4076K. TIB939A received a lower half Hispano Carrocera front after an accident, but was later reverted to the original front.

All public service buses were retired early in 2013, while the remaining buses under Bus-Plus Services still remain in service.

Dennis Specialist Vehicles

In 1999, TIBS made another purchase of 20 Dennis Lances. These buses were produced in UK by Dennis Specialist Vehicles, and received the same Duple Metsec bodywork. A larger version of the Transit Media TwinVision LeDot illuminated flip-dot EDS was installed as standard on these buses.

5 buses were registered under the 'PA' prefix and allocated for charter services under Bus-Plus Services. The remaining buses received the 'TIB' prefix, and were operated as public service buses.

All public service buses were retired early in 2013, while the remaining buses under Bus-Plus Services still remain in service.

Volgren CR221

In 2000, TIBS made a final purchase of 2 more Dennis Lances. These buses were produced in Malaysia by UMW Corporation, and received the Volgren CR221 bodywork.

Both buses were retired early in 2013.
